ABOUT ME

Welcome to Art is Rad! My name is Robert Allday, and I’m an emerging artist based in the Pacific Northwest. While I enjoy working with various art forms, painting on canvas is my favorite medium. Over the past few years, I’ve been pursuing my passion for art professionally, despite not having formal academic training in this field.

I draw inspiration from a variety of sources, including the works of renowned artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, and Salvador Dali, as well as contemporary abstract artists. My pieces are often unprompted and stem from my own emotional experiences. As someone who was recently diagnosed with ADHD and autism, I also have alexithymia, which makes it difficult for me to put my feelings into words. However, through my art, I’ve found a way to express these emotions and convey them to others.

Each painting or piece I create is an expression of a particular emotion, but it’s not always easy for me to articulate what that emotion is in words. Nevertheless, I hope that viewers can connect with my work and feel the emotions that I’m trying to convey. Thank you for visiting my page, and I hope you have a “Rad” experience exploring my art.
